OVERVIEW:

You will be directly responsible for executing creative for the Google Earth brand as well as other Content and Community or Geo products.

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • You will create concepts, design marketing materials and produce best-in-class visual assets that will be used to support global campaigns for Google Earth, Content & Community and Geo programs.

  • Working cross-functionally with Marketing, Community, Content and Partnerships, you will help drive launch and brand awareness.

  • You will be expected to be a doer as well as a thinker, who does not settle for the expected and conventional.

TOP 3 DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work closely with C&C social media leads to help conceptualize and create platform-specific visual assets.

  • Use creative design skills and techniques to steward and extend the Google Earth and Geo brands.

  • Find solutions for product related web and graphics requests.

SKILL/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:

  • Education: BA or BS degree in Design or related discipline

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience designing for brands in social media.

  • Advanced skill in Creative Applications e.g. InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, Adobe After Effects

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Has elegant, sleek, and accessible sense of design Experience in a creative design role in agency, technology, digital media or mobile business with strong knowledge of the social marketing landscape

  • Proficient in all Google Apps products

  • Exemplary execution and problem solving skills, resourcefulness, and attention to detail.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment; demonstrated track record working across complex cross-functional teams.

What you'll be doing As a member of OXO's Brand Design team, the Graphic Designer is responsible for the concepting and design of graphics for all OXO touchpoints through completion. The graphic designer works closely with other designers, copywriters, photographers, printers, packaging engineers, project managers and product designers. Responsibilities * Provide visual solutions for packaging, e-commerce and digital applications, point of purchase, signage and sales collateral * Develop original designs while maintaining the OXO brand identity * Work cross-functionally with creative, product management, sales and brand communications teams * Create print-ready mechanical files * Contribute to, attend and art direct photo shoots * Communicate with Asia office as needed to ensure smooth transfer of mechanicals to manufacturers * Handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in graphic design from an accredited four-year college or university * 5 years of professional graphic design experience * Mastery of Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat) and Microsoft Office * Packaging and online graphic design experience required * Thorough understanding of design-related processes such as photography, retouching, printing and design for online applications * Excellent presentation and communication skills * Design for Amazon and other e-commerce platforms preferred * Experience designing for consumer or retail brands preferred * Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
