JOB SUMMARY:

Uses current graphic design software and principles to produce a variety of marketing materials across various platforms which may include print and promotions, documents, web, video and events. May require an Associate's degree or its equivalent and at least 1 year of experience in the field or in a related area.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create visual elements for a variety of internal and external marketing collateral including documents and other print layouts, web and video graphics, tradeshow booths and other event materials, clothing and internal logos/branding

  • Can effectively and professionally operate hardware and software required to create design elements. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.

  • Understands corporate goals and objectives as they apply to elements of design and art

  • Uses approved logo and branding guidelines and maintains consistency across a variety of media

  • Understands typographic craftsmanship including proper kerning, leading, etc.

  • Works proactively to produce new, creative ideas for use in marketing materials

  • Provides feedback to creative team and manager regarding the design of specific projects

  • Collaborates and brainstorms with creative team to conceptualize and problem-solve projects

  • Works well with various marketing team members in order to accomplish assigned tasks

  • Strives to meet specific deadlines associated with assigned projects

  • Communicates with appropriate parties concerning priorities, deadlines, and projected completion dates

  • Makes suggestions about how we can make our publications, websites, and collateral more effective

  • A basic understanding of and working knowledge of UI/UX principles, SEO optimization, HTML and CSS is a plus.

  • Understanding of motion graphics/animation and experience with Adobe After Effects is a plus.

  • Understanding of and experience in photographic principles and techniques is a plus.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Ability to operate a computer and work at a desk for extended periods of time

  • Bending, stooping and lifting are occasionally required of this position

  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing, in person, over the telephone and in e-mail

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to work in a team environment and adapt to constructive criticism

  • Ability to use latest design/art software tools

  • Experience with design concepts and related activities such as printing, imaging, effective color selection, etc.
