FUNCTION: The Clyde Companies Graphic Design Intern provides design support to the marketing team to assist in the new branding roll out of Clyde Companies and all of its subsidiaries. This is a part-time job for the summer.


  • Understand the brand guidelines for each company and interpret them for use in various marketing collateral, including: signage, flyers, brochures, social media graphics, etc.;

  • Manage all digital assets and keep them organized and accessible;

  • Provide additional support to the marketing department and help with any other requests or needs as circumstances require;

  • Adhere to company policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook, etc.;


  • Creative thinker with artistic talent;

  • On-top of the latest trends and technology in graphic design;

  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks with strong attention to detail;

  • Able to be a high performer with little management oversight;

  • Excellent problem solving skills and resourceful on demand.


  • Experience: 2+ years in a graphic design role

  • Working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop;

  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite; and/or basic computer skills

Job Description Drone Design Mechanical Engineer FLIR UIS is developing next generation UAS platforms, payloads, and technologies. These projects integrate precision sensors to provide unmatched performance in the small drone category. Robust mechanical practice and design is essential to meeting these customer needs. The Drone Design Mechanical Designer role is for someone with experience in small, efficient, and low weight design. You work efficiently and thrive on difficult challenges, often doing the impossible by finding novel solutions. Duties/Essential Job Functions * Ability to define mechanical solutions and system performance requirements. * Be a key part of the team working on payload design, in-market design improvements, and new product components that are designed for lifetime reliability and in-market success. * Utilize your experience with lightweight structural design and materials to design key components and structures for our current generation UAS requirements. * Optimize for aerodynamic profiles and efficiencies (we consider this a huge asset). * Utilize FEA, DOE, and rapid prototyping to design products for durability, performance and manufacturing quality. * Deliver market leading designs with principle DFM methods and techniques. * Create and control design data from concept to product sustainment. * Be able to sustain technical innovation and fulfill commercial commitments. Required Skills and Education * Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 3 years' experience in industry. * Strong part and assembly design experience showing optimization for stiffness and low mass. * Expertise with Solidworks 3D modeling, drawing, and simulation software is strongly preferred. * Demonstrated strong record of technical innovation, research, and development of complex mechanical systems. * Must have strong analytical skills with demonstrated experience in technologies that can be successfully applied to drone developments * Experience with PDM tools and understanding of revision control practices * Excellent verbal, written, collaboration and interpersonal communication skills * US Citizenship and eligible for Security Clearance #LI-BT1 FLIR and all of our employees are committed to conducting business with the highest ethical standards.
