Graphic Artist - Part Time

Overview

The Graphic Designer is responsible for creating aesthetically pleasing images that accompany written text. They will meet with clients to establish their needs, using design software to complete projects and revising projects based on client feedback. They will create quality products to represent BBG in the market.

Responsibilities

Production in the art room.

• Completion of all signage.

• Laminating, mounting on boards, and trimming.

• Designs signs/menus/graphics.

Maintaining the art room cleanliness.

• Regular maintenance on the Wide Format Printer, including wiping it down.

• Keeping the floors clean of any debris like excess Coro and laminate.

Customer Service

• Assist managers and sales reps with creating visually appealing POS for their in-store displays.

• Provide valuable feedback to sales team in creation and production of menus and graphics.

Other duties, as assigned by the jobholder's supervisor, may also be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field and/or equivalent training and work experience

• Minimum of 1 years' experience in design

• Basic PC skills using MS Office and other various computer programs including presentation software

• Must be a results-oriented professional with verbal/written communication skills using diplomacy and discretion as well as customer service skills

• Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pay attention to detail and meet deadlines

• Analytic and Reporting skills

• Utilize sound judgement and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume, team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Adobe photoshop and other design software

• Customer service experience

• Experience in a print department

Physical Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone

Competencies:

• Accountable for meeting own targets, work is reviewed periodically.

• Problems encountered will be defined, repetitive, and routine with a solution readily available.
