Perform as a Graphic Artist Associate Manager for Denver by leading a team of proposal professionals, specifically graphic artists. As a member of the Proposal Operations team (East Coast, Central, and West Coast locations), you and your team will support Lockheed Martin Space in their pursuits such as:

The next mission to MARS

Next generation Global Positioning Satellites

New satellites performing in new, innovative ways

Advanced development concepts and technologies

This leader is responsible for hiring, retaining, assessing, mentoring, and guiding Central (Denver, Colorado and Huntsville, Alabama) employees both in their proposal publication roles, and their career and skill developmental plans. Your goal is to guide the team while they support proposals and programs to meet Space growth needs, particularly Denver activities.

The Graphic Artist Associate Manager for Denver collaborates with leaders on the East Coast and the West Coast to field, assess, and meet business development and line of business proposal and program support requests with personnel assignments. Communication continues to optimize that support over the life of the engagement.

Depending upon workload, the successful candidate fields graphic arts assignments themselves to keep their proposal experience current and provide first-hand experience with proposal process and infrastructure. Proposal processes and infrastructure are monitored, refined, or upgraded as needed.

The successful candidate has a demonstrated ability to:

Manage and coach graphic arts professionals to hone their skills and optimize their interaction within proposal team activities.

Communicate well with employees at multiple organizational levels; written, verbal, and some presentation skills needed.

Interact constructively and effectively with differing levels of leadership and staff.

Support the swift formation of a proposal-capable team, including integration of line of business, business development, capture, and proposal personnel.

Engage constructively in proposal process tailoring discussions with stakeholders.

Keep current on new, innovative proposal processes, tools, or infrastructure. Efficiently and effectively communicate and implement approved changes.

Navigate difficult situations and conversations to a productive outcome.

Monitor employee's progress against proposal goals to ensure adequate support is being provided both to the employee and the proposal team.

Understand employee's capabilities and match them to assignments.

Must be able to obtain TS/SCI clearance. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet and maintain eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US citizenship required.

Basic Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to lead and manage diverse teams.

Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to network effectively.

Demonstrated ability to make effective decisions, build consensus, and sustain team energy and commitment.

Demonstrated skill and experience with proposal graphic arts activities.

Substantial experience in Microsoft Office skills, especially PowerPoint and Adobe Creative Suite.

Demonstrate Full Spectrum Leadership Behaviors.

Must be able to travel as required as this position may require travel.

Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance (US Citizenship required).

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

This leader is responsible for leading a team of HR professionals (2-4) in support of the across multiple geographic sites to meet HR and business objectives. This position will also have human resources business partner responsibility for supporting the Directors of Cyber, Advanced Technology and Software Solutions (ATSS) and the Mission Operations and Sustainment (MOS) organization. Primary responsibilities will include: * Modeling and coaching the HR team in the delivery of HR services, processes and strategic activities. * Driving the creation and implementation of projects and initiatives aligned to maximizing value and advancing Engineering's Strategy. * Taking initiative to streamline and integrate initiatives for affordability, efficiency and impact. * Client group support for Cyber. The selected candidate will motivate and engage HR employees to perform productively in a team environment, set an example of ethical behavior, have excellent problem solving skills and thrive in an environment of continual change. This can be considered a rotational position for 18-24 months. The ability and willingness to relocate now and for next assignment is desirable.
