Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the coordination, organization and tracking of public and private funded research within the University Libraries.

  • Serves as a liaison between the College, funding agencies, the Research Foundation, Sponsored Research, and other relevant organizations.

  • Oversees the grant management and administration for the libraries.

  • Actively seeks out grant opportunities for the libraries.

  • Assists in the development of grant applications.

  • Collaborates with principal investigators during the grant administration process.

  • Collaborates with the Office of Sponsored Research to ensure adherence to local, state, and federal guidelines.

  • Provides routine updates to the Associate Dean of Administration regarding grants.

  • Partners with all library divisions to address grant related matters.

  • Develops procedures and policies related to grant opportunities.

  • Provides quarterly updates for the senior leadership team.

  • Advises and assists FSU Libraries in areas of post-award activities. Activities include but are not limited to identification and resolution of compliance and funding issues; preparation of financial reports; tracking of salary commitments; coordinating project close-outs; C&G document organization and storage; and C&G related procurement and travel functions.

  • Responsible for scheduling regular meetings with PIs to discuss their funded projects and other C&G related commitments.

  • Assists with FACET related questions for C&G.

  • Advises and assists FSU Libraries in pre-award activities. Activities include but are not limited to review of terms for compliance concerns; budget, transmittal, and cost share preparation; uploading proposal documents; proposal document tracking organization and storage; and serving as a liaison between the College, funding agencies, Research Foundation, Sponsored Research, and other relevant organizations.

  • Assists with individual and group training sessions related to C&G regulations and procedures ensuring faculty and staff are up to date on procedures.

  • Communicates awards, outside collaboration, and other C&G activity as appropriate to key personnel.

  • Attends training to enhance understanding of relevant policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree and two years of experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and six years of experience. (Note: a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years.)
  • Successful completion of the eSPEAR Certification within 6 months of start date.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of and ability to apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

  • Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply related federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations.

Anticipated Salary Range

Starting salary is $48,000, commensurate with education and experience.
