Position Description:

This position is located in the Grants Department within the Finance Division in Columbia. Incumbent provides the primary accounting function for all the grant monitoring administration, compliance, grant accounting, and financial reports of the awarded grants through their final closing. Provides problem resolution and assists finance management in completing other job-related tasks as directed to meet department goals and objectives - assists the Budget and Grants Director with preparing financial reports and statements for internal and external use.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

Bachelors in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance and at least three years of grants experience. Knowledge of the principles, practices, theories, and terminology of accounting, budgeting, grants and/or financial management.

Ability to interpret and analyze financial data, records, and reports. Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with grant sub-recipients and with federal, state, and local agencies. Ability to proficiently apply mathematical concepts. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
