The Grant Programs Coordinator will provide support to the functions of the business office, to include business process development as a primary goal for IARC's business office. The job incumbent in this position will add value in establishing and improving processes for the IARC business office and team members.
This position will provide fiscal and grant management coordination for the faculty, staff, and the overall business office management team. The Grant Programs Coordinator position will report directly to IARC's Executive Officer. This position will be primarily centered on the coordination of internal functions and processes requiring knowledge/experience, with the primary responsibility for programs and project oversight rather than unit management.
This position will provide project management support as well as general administrative support, with coordination with the IARC Business Office as it relates to fiscal, procurement, and human resources functions and contribute to the maximization of efficiencies and identification of areas of further development and continuous improvement. This position will be administratively essential to IARC and it will provide support to faculty, staff, and affiliates in meeting our mission, vision and continuous growth.
Demonstrated experience as a project manager and lead in development of processes and knowledge of methods of organization, research, and analysis and computer information systems and applicable software and databases. The job incumbent must comprehend written material and interpret and apply policies, rules, regulations.
Contribute to stablish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals and groups and to work successfully as a member of a team and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and to organize and present facts and opinions. Exercise good judgment in analyzing situations and making decisions and possess the ability to lead work teams, including planning and organizing work, and scheduling, training and directing and reviewing work of others and analyze complex* situations and make responsible decisions.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business or Master's Degree in business or related field. Or three years college coursework and three years of progressively more responsible experience related to the program specialty, or an acceptable equivalent combination of training and experience.
Position Details:
This position is located on the University of Alaska Fairbanks campus in Fairbanks, and flexible on-site/hybrid work arrangements may be considered in accordance with UA regulations and the work available. This is a full-time, exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package.
UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 81, based on education and experience.
