Overview:
Join our UMRC-Porter Hills Foundation Team. Our mission: as faithful, philanthropic stewards and steadfast advocates for vibrant aging, we support the mission of Brio Living Services.
The Grant Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire grant lifecycle. This role involves working closely with various departments to identify funding opportunities, prepare grant proposals, ensure compliance with grant requirements, and manage post-award reporting. The Grant Manager will also maintain relationships with funders and ensure that grant-funded projects are executed effectively and efficiently.
What you'll do:
Grant Research and Identification
Research and identify potential grant opportunities.
Stay updated on new funding opportunities and trends.
Maintain grants calendar of potential funders and deadlines, as well as reporting deadlines for existing grants.
Grant Proposal Development:
Collaborate with UMRC-Porter Hills Foundation, Finance, and Operations/Program teams to develop compelling grant proposals, including narratives, budgets, and supporting documents.
Submit grant applications, agreements, and memorandums of understanding and track their status.
Grant Compliance and Reporting
Monitor compliance with grant requirements and regulations.
Collaborate with Brio Living Services Operations/Program teams to ensure grant requirements and activities are followed.
Prepare and submit required reports to funders.
Maintain accurate records of all grant activities and documentation, including tracking actions in Raiser's Edge NXT.
Serve as the resident expert on grant compliance, funder requirements, and interpretation of applicable regulations, policies and procedures.
Financial Management
Work with the Finance department to develop grant budgets and track expenditures.
Ensure proper allocation and use of grant funds.
Assist with audits and financial reviews related to grant funding.
Communication and Relationship Management
Maintain positive relationships with current and potential funders, and program team members.
Serve as the primary point of contact for grant-related inquiries.
Communicate grant successes and challenges to stakeholders.
Administrative
Review and assist with social media posts to Brio Living Services social media and website blog.
Create and send e-blasts on behalf of the UMRC-Porter Hills Foundation.
Assist with review of UMRC-Porter Hills Foundation written materials and marketing ads.
Assist with review of website content.
Support and promote the philosophy, goals, objectives, and programs of the UMRC-Porter Hills Foundation.
What it takes:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university in technical writing, English or a similar field.
A combination of education and consistent applicable work experience may be considered.
Minimum of one (1) year of experience in grant writing, management, and compliance for nonprofit organization or equivalent.
Proven technical writing skills (a writing sample will be requested of each candidate selected for the interview).
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
Passion for promoting the dignity and wellness of older adults throughout the region.
Must be willing to travel as needed, especially to our various Brio locations, and work occasional evenings and weekends.
