Reports to: Superintendent/Designee FLSA Status: Exempt

Bargaining Unit: N/A (215 working days 7.5 hours per day)

Position Summary:
Works collaboratively with administration and staff. Provides direction and coordination in the management of district-wide grants. The Grant Coordinator will work closely with various departments within the organization to gather information, prepare grant proposals, and monitor the progress and outcomes of funded projects.

Supervision:
The Grand Coordinator works with a high level of independence and professional discretion under the general supervision of a designated school administrator. The administrator's work is governed, controlled, and evaluated by acceptable professional practice, school, and district policies and regulations, provisions of Taos Municipal Schools district policies and procedures, direction of the supervisor, and performance standards and expectations as outlined in the collective bargaining agreement.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Communicates effectively and professionally with staff
Researches and identifies potential grant funding opportunities that align with the organization's mission and goals.
Manages the grant application process, which may include preparing and/or writing grant proposals, budgets, and supporting documents.
Organizes and writes grant proposals justifying the districts need for the grant, then works with district administrators and/or the finance office for approval.
Coordinates with staff to gather information, data, and statistics required for grant applications.
Ensures compliance with grant guidelines, requirements, and deadlines.
Develops relationships with grantors, foundations, the New Mexico Public Education Department and other potential grant resources.
Monitors the progress and outcomes of funded projects and provides regular reports as necessary to stakeholders.
Collaborates with program directors and principals to ensure effective implementation of all grants.
Tracks and manages grant-related documentation, including award letters, purchase orders, budgets, and all reporting requirements.
Conducts regular reviews and evaluations of grant-funded programs to assess effectiveness and impact.
Follows the grant process from start to finish.
Upon receipt of a grant, the Grant Coordinator ensures that the requirements of the funding organization are met.
Maintains organized and detailed files of funding agencies, grants applied for, grant proposals, and all other relevant data.
Required to follow board policies and procedures and stay abreast of updates and changes.
Other Duties as Assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Master's Degree required
NM PED Administrative License Preferred
Minimum 4 years related experience preferred
Basic computer skills
English/Spanish Preferred
Professional Knowledge/Vocabulary of attendance research and best practices
Effective Team Building Strategies
Effective Communication with ALL Stakeholders
Effective Writing Skills

It may be expected that the individual could be exposed to blood or other potentially infectious materials during their duties. The teacher may be exposed to infectious disease as carried by students.
The employee may be required to travel in school owned or leased vehicles while supervising and assisting students.
