WHAT YOU WILL DO:
The Grant Accountant is an exempt position responsible for the handling of contract billings, account analysis, and act as liaison between Finance and funders. The grant accountant will work with grants department by preparing grant proposal budgets and budget narratives as necessary and assist with preparation of company annual budgets. The grant accountant will be responsible for all required financial reporting per contracts and prepare and enter monthly journal entries.

Reconcile assigned balance sheet account analysis monthly.
Assist with preparation of company annual budgets.
Work with Grants department by preparing grant proposal budgets and budget narratives as necessary.
Prepare and enter monthly journal entries.
Assist as needed with monthly general ledger closing.
Reconcile bank statements monthly as assigned.
Assist with audit work papers for annual audit as assigned.
Maintain position controls.
Work with program staff in understanding financials.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
Bachelor's degree in accounting required, in addition to three (3) years' minimum experience in accounting position with Grant Accounting and Reporting.
Proficient in Accounting systems, Concur and Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. V-Lookups, Pivot tables).
