We are searching for an exceptional candidate to work in our Accounting department. This position works with others in a team environment to ensure accurate information and superior customer service.

In this job you will:

  • Account payable and account receivables.

  • Imports tickets and applies them to contracts.

  • Processes checks for grain contracts and trucking.

  • Enters and maintains contracts in the system.

  • Customer support for farmers and elevator customers.

  • Enter Barges and barge accounting.

  • Enter vouchers for payment of invoices.

  • Direct haul ticket accounting.

  • Perform data entry.

Here's what you'll need to be considered:


Required - High school diploma or equivalent training and experience.

Preferred-- B.S. degree in Accounting



  • Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office.

  • Understanding Financial Statements.

  • Strong analytical skills.


  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong ability to multi-task with exceptional attention to detail.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Working knowledge of basic administrative and clerical functions; answering phones, working with spreadsheets, working with basic office equipment.

  • Proficiency in computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of people within and outside the organization.

  • Strong time management, organizational and project management skills.

  • Strong customer service orientation and attention to detail.

  • Strong team player.

  • Discretion in handling confidential information.

  • Ability to work beyond normal scheduled hours; includes overtime, evenings, weekends, holidays.

Here's additional information you need to know:

Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds frequently

Travel required, minimal for meetings and trainings.

VIEW JOBS 3/31/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-06-29T00:00 POSITION SUMMARY The Staff Accountant is primarily responsible for performing accounting activities to ensure a complete and accurate general ledger. This includes accounting for rebate invoicing, accruals and payments for receivables as well as reconciling rebate payables. This position will work with team members as well as other departments to research and resolve issues. Furthermore, this position will ensure complete and accurate financial statements are created to meet regulatory, member and participant reporting responsibilities. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS * Prepare journal entries and month end responsibilities: * Prepare and analyze monthly financial accruals for receivables and payables and other accounts * Prepare and analyze rollforwards and reconciliations for Manufacturer Receivables, Rebates Payable and other balance sheet accounts. * Ensure accurate accounting and accounting control procedures are maintained. * Ensure accurate consolidation and intercompany accounting occurs. * Prepare and analyze annual financial statement(s). * Works on special projects as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent work experience. * 1-3 years accounting and finance experience. * Strong attention to detail. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Demonstrated ability to meet multiple deadlines and manage a heavy workload. * Self-starter and team player. * Experience working with cross functional departments to research and resolve issues. * Good problem solving and analytical skills. * Understanding of business operations and processes. * Focus on quality and service. * Demonstrated customer service and relationship building skills. * Willingness to work a flexible schedule to accommodate departmental and project deadlines. * PC skills, Microsoft Office programs, Strong Excel skills with the ability to easily learn new software. * Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. * Demonstrated proficiency in accounting processes, procedures, and controls. * Experience in general ledger account analysis/reconciliation.
