Graduation/Mentor Coach

FLSA:EXEMPT

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree or Valid Teaching Certification

REPORTS TO: School Principal

JOB GOAL: To improve graduation rates for all population sub groups within the school

TERM: Nine Months

SALARY: Nine Month Teacher Salary Schedule

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

I. Identify and support at-risk students with an established caseload

II. Assist in developing school-wide support and interventions

III. Develop and support a graduation team in the building

IV. Provide direct service and case management support for students

V. Refer students to the appropriate school officials if they need outside services

VI. Develop connections and coordinate community outreach programs that bring

the resources of the community to the student

VII. Assist in developing and supporting transition and advisement programs

VIII. Develop working relationships with all stakeholders, including administration,

school counselors, teachers and other service providers

IX. Participate in ongoing professional development and incorporate Best Practices

X. Market the role of the graduation coach to all stakeholders

XI. Facilitate mentoring programs

XII. Refer student to appropriate programs and services within the school, such as:

credit recovery, tutoring, behavior management, or guidance.

XIII. Inform parents of student referrals to appropriate programs and progress

monitor

XIV. Any other duties as assigned by the Principal
