Graduate/Junior Electrical Engineer

Location: Bismarck, ND

Successful candidate will train for the Bismarck position in the regional Billings, MT office for 6 to 12 months prior to permanent assignment.

Work for local clients to deliver project requirements per client standards.

Work collaboratively and effectively with engineers and designers in our department to support project requirements.

Strong problem solving ability, attention to detail and ability to learn on the job is a must for the candidate.

Candidate must be able to follow project schedule and prioritize work as needed to reach project end goal in a timely manner.

Candidate must be able to learn on own as well as learn via department mentoring.

What you will bring

Technical and Industry Experience:

Electrical Engineering Degree

Desire to learn industrial electrical design and control concepts

FE Exam completion a plus

Purpose You will provide electrical engineering services to Worley and its customers, including technical support within the electrical engineering team of US-Central Operations, Bismarck office. Responsibilities * Deliver electrical engineering services that meet Worley's, our customer's and applicable statutory and regulatory specifications, on time and within budget. * Initiate, manage and if required supervise electrical engineering project requirements. * Perform electrical engineering services such as: * participate in relevant meetings, prepare progress reports and follow required checking procedures; * ensure the project scope is clear and that changes comply with project change management processes; * Develop project deliverables to include documents as one-lines, electrical cable schedule, power plan drawings, electrical schematics, electrical heat tracing documents, grounding, lighting and area classification plans. * provide assistance and advice during procurement, construction and commissioning activities. For example, write requisitions, conduct technical bid evaluations and write purchase orders. * If required, act as the electrical engineering Lead on small specific projects to include: * coordinate CAD designer time and scope for project document creation and modification * Proactively resolve any discrepancies between Worley and its customer's requirements. * Keep up-to-date with the latest developments and technical innovations in electrical engineering. * If required, assist and support other personnel within the electrical engineering team. * Communicate effectively with the electrical engineering team and project stakeholders, including the customer. * Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and ask for assistance when required. Y What you will bring Technical and Industry Experience * Highly effective technical and practical engineering skills and ability to consistently deliver quality, accurate and timely work to Worley and its customers. * A sound knowledge of the fundamental requirements of the electrical engineering, and the basic requirements of other engineering fields. * A sound knowledge of applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatory requirements. * Competent use of electrical engineering specific software. * Competent use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite. * Substantial technical land practical experience in electrical engineering in the same or similar industry including experience in working in multi-disciplinary projects and teams. Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training Required: * An ABET recognised and relevant engineering degree. Preferred: * Professional Engineer (PEng) status. * Relevant postgraduate qualifications in engineering, management, project management or supervisory qualifications or equivalent.
