Job Summary

Purdue Testing Services (PTS) is looking to hire graduate students to assist in our daily testing center operations as well as proctoring overflow testing rooms.

Responsibilities of Position

• Check students in and out for exams while maintaining a welcoming and professional demeanor.
• Learn to navigate an online accommodated testing system in order to execute exam check-ins/outs, view seating assignments, and answer general questions about exam scheduling.
• Oversee Testing Center overflow rooms by administering accommodated exams, contacting faculty with test-related concerns, and preserving exam integrity.
• Assist faculty with picking up or delivering exams.
• Coordinate division of duties with student employees and professional staff.
• Communicate with students involved with the PTS with sensitivity and helpfulness.
• Additional duties, administrative tasks, and professional development training as determined by supervisor.
• Utilize Microsoft Teams applications to communicate appropriately with staff and adhere to timekeeping standards.
• Demonstrate professional phone skills such as forwarding calls, taking messages, and responding to inquiries.
• Complete required training, certifications, and workshops as scheduled with advance notice.
• Adhere to established office protocols involving appropriate workwear, timekeeping, scheduling, and customer service.
• Support PTS professional staff with completion of projects as needed.
• Become certified in Pearson and ETS exams.

Requirements: Must be a graduate student.

Hours & Compensation: Hours based on student's availability. Ideally would like 10-20 hours per week. Starting wage of $13/hour. Primarily looking for Monday- Thursday 5pm- 10pm. Hiring up to 5 graduate students.
