GENERAL SUMMARY/ OVERVIEW STATEMENT:
The Massachusetts General Hospital Department of Psychiatry is seeking a graduate student research assistant to assist with the operation of several ongoing research studies as well as future studies. The research assistant will work within the Neuroimaging of Mind-Body Interaction and Treatment Laboratory (https://nombit.mgh.harvard.edu/). The objective of the lab is to investigate the interaction between the brain (mind) and body using fMRI, EEG, MEG, and clinical assessments, and translate the findings into clinical practice. The focus of this job will be study management and data collection for several NIH-funded projects investigating neuromodulation and mind-body exercise. This role will include recruiting, scheduling, performing study visits with adults with chronic pain or cognitive decline as well as healthy individuals, and data analysis. The graduate research assistant will be involved with multiple studies.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performing data analysis
Collects & organizes patient data
Maintains records and databases
Assists with recruiting patients for clinical trials
Verifies accuracy of study forms
Updates study forms per protocol
Documents patient visits and procedures
Assists with regulatory binders and QA/QC procedures
Assists with interviewing study subjects
Administers and scores questionnaires
Provides basic explanation of study and in some cases obtains informed consent from subjects - Performs study procedures, which may include phlebotomy.
Assists with study regulatory submissions
Writes consent forms
Verifies subject inclusion/exclusion criteria
Performs administrative support duties as required

Brain Imaging data analysis is a plus
