As a Graduate Reliability Engineer at ZeroAvia, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our innovative hydrogen-electric propulsion systems.

In this role, you will work closely with a team of engineers to develop and implement reliability programs for our products. You will conduct reliability analyses, identify potential failure modes and risks, and propose design improvements to enhance the robustness and durability of our systems. Your work will contribute to the development of highly reliable and efficient aviation technologies that push the boundaries of clean and sustainable flight.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Analyse reliability test data. 
  • Plan reliability tests. Specifying special test requirements for components or systems necessary to achieve or demonstrate achievement of reliability requirements. 
  •  Perform reliability predictions using 217Plus methodology. 
  •  Perform Common Cause Analysis (CCA). 
  •  Perform Failure Modes and Effects (FMEA) Analysis. 
  •  Produce reliability reports. 
  •  Advise design engineers on component and material selection for improved reliability. 
  •  Plan and support the development of reliability related data warehousing. 
  •  Support investigation of component and/or system failures and performing Root Cause Analysis. 
  •  Identify components or technologies approaching obsolescence and developing strategies for component replacement or redesign to ensure product longevity. 
  •  Examine the mechanisms and root causes of test failures and proposing solutions to enhance reliability. 
  •  Support risk analysis and risk management activities. 
  •  Assess the effectiveness of equipment Built-In Test (BIT) capabilities. 

Requirements

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Engineer who is passionate about driving the reliability and performance of clean energy systems. To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • A strong understanding of reliability engineering principles and methodologies
  • Familiarity with reliability analysis techniques such as FMEA, FTA, reliability block diagrams, and reliability prediction
  • Experience in conducting reliability testing and analyzing test data
  • Programming in MATLAB, Python or equivalent
  • Monte Carlo simulation for reliability analysis
  • Fault Tree Analysis
  • Proficiency in using reliability software tools and statistical analysis software
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • A self-driven attitude with a desire to learn and grow
  • Knowledge of aviation and aerospace industry is a plus

Benefits

The wage scale or salary range for this position is between $70,000.00 - $80,000.00In addition to the foregoing base compensation, additional compensation and benefits are available to employees and eligible family members (as applicable) including the following:

💰 Bonus: Annual discretionary bonuses.

📈 Equity: Ability to exercise company stock options

👵🏽 Retirement: Eligible to participate in the company's 401(k) Plan, with up to a 4% matching

🧬 Life Insurance: Basic Life/AD&D of up to $50,000 and the option to add on Supplemental Coverage.

💫 Short-Term Disability: Up to 60% of your earnings for up to a period of 24 weeks.

🤒 Long-Term Disability: If your disability extends beyond 180 days, LTD Coverage for up to 60% of your earnings.

🏖️ Paid Time Off: Eligible employees may accrue up to 120 hours per year (15 days) and may borrow up to 40 hours (5 days).

🩺 Sick Time: Eligible employees may accrue up to 40 hours, per year (5 days)

🏖️ Paid Holidays: 12 observed holidays, per calendar year.

🛩️ The Fly Club: up to $2,000 of reimbursement towards flying lessons to all full-time staff
