Job Description:

The Graduate Outcomes & Operations Coordinator is the lead staff member that executes graduate outcomes research and reporting, manages the technology platforms used within the department, and regularly monitors and analyzes data used to inform planning and programming within the Center for Career Development.

The Graduate Outcomes & Operations Coordinator will conduct graduate outcomes research and analysis, manage the technical platforms utilized in the CCD, manage events and marketing functions, and supervise student workers. This position does not frequently interact with students in an advising capacity.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Graduate Outcomes Research and Analysis:

  • Manage the Graduate Outcomes Survey (GOS) data collection process for traditional undergraduate, continuing education, and graduate students by:

  • Establishing the annual timeline and milestones for data collection;

  • Utilize student information system to obtain graduating student information to support the GOS process;

  • Coordinate efforts to collect data, including, but not limited to, administering the GOS at the Commencement Fair, at Commencement Rehearsal, e-surveys, telemarketing, and social media research and outreach;

  • Provide outreach from CCD directly encouraging students to update their outcomes information;

  • Work collaboratively with Institutional Advancement, faculty, and other campus constituencies to track information on graduate outcomes;

  • Interpret data collected with the support of the Director of the CCD and the Assistant VP for Academic Affairs;

  • Serve as the lead author of the annual Graduate Outcomes Report;

  • Maintain the Graduate Outcomes database;

  • Manage Graduate Outcomes data requests from departments needing information to support recruitment and retention, program reviews, accreditation reporting, or other needs.

Technology and Data Management:

  • Actively manage and approve employers submitting company and employee information and job postings on Curry Connect.

  • Serve as the main technology point person in the CCD and manage, maintain, and oversee various office software and systems including Curry Connect (GRADLEADERS), Salesforce, Focus2, Candid Career, Banner, Constant Contact, Acuity, Website, Portal, etc.

  • Generate reports that demonstrate student and employer engagements with the CCD.

  • Conduct market research and gap analysis to support internship and career planning efforts and support ways to leverage existing relationships across multiple departments.

  • Demonstrate strong use of CCD specific technologies including, but not limited to, Curry Connect and Salesforce, and support any migration or implementation efforts related to new technologies that emerge over time.

  • Assist others with using office software and systems and provide training as necessary.

  • Actively collaborate with staff from the College's Information Technology Services department to troubleshoot, utilize systems, and develop work flows to support the goals of the CCD.

  • Research, assess and implement technology solutions for CCD to provide easy access for all stakeholders.

Event Management and Marketing:

  • Lead the logistical efforts associated with large scale CCD events including the Career & Networking Conference and the Career & Internship Fair

  • Collaborate with the Administrative Assistant and others on campus to leverage data to enhance marketing of the College, academic programs, and the CCD to support recruitment, retention, and branding efforts.

Administrative Functions:

  • Supervise student workers

  • Support internship coordinators with welcome letters, surveys, and data tracking. Compile internship data and disseminate to various constituencies.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Providing superb customer service to employers, students, families, faculty, and staff.

  • Participate in committees relevant to the work of the CCD.

  • Serve as back up for the Assistant Director of Career Advising or the Administrative Assistant as needed.

  • Respect and maintain confidentiality, parameters of operation, professional protocols, and individual privacy.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor of his/her designee.

Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelor's degree is required;

  • At least two years of progressively responsible experience in Career Development or related field;

  • Strong technical expertise managing and utilizing database systems to collect and disseminate data;

  • Strong evidence of using data to inform goal setting, planning, and assessment efforts;

  • Experience conducting research to support graduate outcome reporting;

  • Working knowledge and understanding of diverse employment sectors and trends;

  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working with technology platforms including Banner, Blackboard, Digication, GRADLEADERS, Handshake, Qualtrics, and Salesforce;

  • Experience utilizing the NACE methodology for reporting graduate outcomes.

At the College's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be excepted where the candidate can demonstrate, to the satisfaction of the college, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.

Job Description: Reporting directly to the Associate Director of Advising and Academic Success the Academic Success Coordinator serves as a point of contact for students, families, and faculty regarding students who are experiencing academic difficulty. S/he provides clear proactive education and guidance to students and families, directing them to appropriate institutional resources and assisting them in creating and adhering to plans for academic success. S/he works directly with individual students, their family members, and concerned faculty and staff to provide assistance in resolving academic concerns. The Academic Success Coordinator also serves as the primary Academic Advisor to a caseload of students. Duties include direct service to students and families; proactive outreach to at-risk students on targeted retention efforts within the Office of Advising & Academic Success and in collaboration with Academic Enrichment, First Year, Career Services, Admission, and Student Affairs. The position requires exceptional oral and written communication skills, an ability to bring complex situations to closure with strong professional judgment, a student-focused orientation, and expertise in documenting outcomes with clear written follow-up. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Direct Service to Students: * Responds to academic concerns about students within FERPA guidelines; meets with families, faculty and students to resolve issues, and respond to concerns about college policies, procedures, and processes; * Monitors and responds to Curry's centralized web-based Academic Alert system as a means of coordinating early interventions with students; * Monitors and responds to the Academic Success email account; * Monitor student progress, provide extensive outreach to students, and assist students with problem solving with a particular focus on connecting students with appropriate supports; * Meets with students on academic probation, to develop, monitor, and evaluate student educational plans in accordance with Satisfactory Academic Progress guidelines; * Meets with students on matters of academic integrity, grade appeal, academic appeals; * Communicates directly with students to positively impact timely graduation in partnership with the Registrar's Office; * Serves on the Academic Petition and Dismissal Committees to participate in the assessment of appeals regarding academic policies for individual students; * Serves as the primary Academic Advisor to a caseload of students; * Assists with pre-registration of new students; * Escalates high need students to the Associate Director and Director for further follow up as needed. Direct Service to Parents and Families: * Provides proactive information to parents and families to guide expectations, and inform families about academic processes and policies; * Escalates high need cases to the Associate Director or Director for further follow up. Retention & Student Success Program Planning: * Engage in networking across the institution to ensure students connect with appropriate resources to support their success. Collaborate with student services, academic support, technology, and others to coordinate and execute student retention strategies; * Under the Direction of the Associate Director of Advising & Academic Success, develops, executes, and evaluates activities to support at-risk students including workshops, print and web materials, and peer support. Engage in continuous efforts to improve students' experience, to identify needs for additional resources or interventions, and to work with others to assess the effectiveness of student success efforts; * Serves on the Academic Services Team; * Works collaboratively with colleagues in Office of Advising & Academic Success and on the Academic Services Team through cross-training, information sharing, and planning; * Other duties as assigned. SAP Compliance: * Meets with students to develop, monitor, and evaluate student educational plans in accordance with Satisfactory Academic Progress guidelines; * Maintain currency with satisfactory academic progress policies and related internal policies and external regulations; * Serves on SAP Appeal review committee. ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS: * Respect and maintain confidentiality, parameters of operation, professional protocols, and individual privacy; * Initiate independent actions and initiatives including creative problem-solving with families and a keen awareness of program requirements and academic counseling options; * Assess complex situations and respond with a clear, supportive and consistent message; * Available to work nights and weekends at peak times for academic advising, to carry out tasks related to retention and student success, and to represent the office at College events. Requirements: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * A minimum of a Master's degree in Education, Counseling Psychology, or a related field; * 2-3 years of experience in a higher education setting with sustained work providing academic support and program planning for students. Experience educating families and students about academic issues; * Must have good verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, excellent customer service and interpersonal skills to effectively deal with a variety of individuals; * Intermediate level computing skills and efficiency utilizing complex computing applications on the systems and programs of College's choice; (I.e., Microsoft Office Suite); * Ability to follow-up, follow-through, multi-task, set priorities and adhere to deadlines. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Experience with Banner; * Experience working with students and faculty around issues of teaching and learning at a small, liberal arts-based college; * Experience working with students on developmental learning in the context of an institution which recognizes and supports students with learning disabilities.
