Responsibilities:
Teach across grad nursing programs. The incumbent would be expected to teach courses that would include, but are not limited to such areas ad advanced pathophysiology, advanced health assessment, advanced health promotion, evidence-based practice and research, epidemiology, ethics, health behavior change, information science, nursing theory, organization and systems leadership, psychiatric-mental health, and other areas as needed to meet requirements of this CCNE accredited program.
Instruct courses in varied locations, at varied times, and via various media commensurate with department and university needs.
Engage in scholarly research or creative achievement to enhance knowledge of field.
Provide evidence of continuing preparation and study in the field to enhance teaching abilities.
Contribute to student growth and development including student advising.
Provide service to the university and community including the program, the department, the college, the university, and the greater community. Support Winona State University's mission to enhance the intellectual, social, cultural, and economic vitality of the people and communities we serve.
Assist with programmatic accreditation.
Work effectively with health care industry and clinical affiliates
Advise graduate students
Chair and serve on students' master's thesis and scholarly inquiry paper committees; serve on DNP Project committees (doctoral prepared candidate)
Maintain an active program of scholarship
Communicate effectively and participating actively in a CCNE accredited department of nursing with undergraduate and graduate programs.
Contribute to non-teaching activities (e.g. governance, committees, university service) and to community service utilizing professional nursing expertise
Required Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Nationally certified as a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner through a nationally accredited master's, graduate certificate or Doctor of Nursing Practice program.
Licensed as a registered nurse with current registration, or eligible for licensure, in Minnesota and Wisconsin and licensed as an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN), or eligible for APRN licensure by the start date of the appointment, in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
Satisfactory background study clearance as required by Minnesota statues.
Evidence of research, scholarship and achievement appropriate for the graduate program
Evidence of experience as a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner
Evidence of effective communication and interpersonal skills including verbal, nonverbal and written methods
Eligible for health care provider CPR certification, and up to date immunizations, including influenza, and other verifications required for the department or those required by clinical agencies.

Earned doctorate in nursing or related field.
Demonstrated experience employing, assessing, and/or developing various innovative research-informed clinical practices.

Demonstrated experience teaching with simulation modalities.
Demonstrated proficiency in design and delivery of teaching technologies )e.g., Web-based learning platforms, synchronous Internet meeting programs, email, database management, data storage, distance learning).
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and engage well with diverse students, faculty, administrators and community partners.
Demonstrated ability to have strong, positive relationships with practice communities.
Demonstrated teaching experience in subject areas such as PMHNP role courses.
Demonstrated ability to work with and collaborate as a member of a team.
Demonstrated experience with CCNE accredited program.
Demonstrated experience with advising and supervising grad level students.
Demonstrated potential for serving as a committee chair or committee member on thesis, scholarly inquiry paper, or DNP project committees.
Demonstrated evidence of scholarly research or creative achievement.
Demonstrated effective leadership experience.
Demonstrated commitment to working with diverse individuals and communities.
Demonstrated commitment to collaboration with community partners.
