The Registered Nurse (RN) will pursue a defined program of classroom, simulation lab, and online education, as well as on-the-job training through the precepting process, in the Wyoming Medical Center Nurse Residency program. The Nurse Residency program provides skills and experience that enable the Registered Nurse to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care in line with regulatory standards, best practices, and Wyoming Medical Center policy. The Nurse Residency will last for 12 months, and will include six weeks to six months with a preceptor, depending on the RN's assigned nursing department. The RN will be expected to participate in and complete all assigned requirements as part of the program.

Participates fully in all assigned training and education requirements.
Completes competency verification within established time lines.
Performs additional duties as required or delegated.
