We are searching for an experienced Graduate Instructor

Reports to: Summer Writing Program Faculty Director
FLSA Classification: Exempt/Salaried
FTE: 13% (5 hrs/week)
Compensation: $18 hr

Job Summary
The graduate instructor position offers graduate students an opportunity to design and teach a writing workshop. You will teach 3 workshops that take place on Wednesdays from 9am-12pm. This position is temporary for 3 weeks. Runs from June 9-July 29, 2024. This position will require a 23/24 & 24/25 Federal Workstudy award.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Attend weekly staff meetings with the SWP Faculty Director
Head a weekly discussion group of BA credit students on Wednesday mornings, 9am-12pm
Create a weekly workshop that can accommodate both students taking the program for one week or for all three weeks
Comment on and grade final BA manuscripts
What Naropa Requires…
Have earned or earning an MFA in a field related to Writing and Poetics
Must have previous teaching experience
Be a current JKS MFA student in second - or third-summer, and/or a current SWP Events GA
Successful completion of JKS pedagogy course or comparable pedagogical training

All regular full-time and part-time faculty and staff, including student workers, accrue sick leave benefits. Full-time and part-time staff positions accrue vacation and personal time. All leave accrual rates vary based on the position, hours worked, and years of service.
