Our traffic engineering team is growing, and we are looking for a graduate engineer to join our dynamic team. As our Graduate Engineer/Engineer-In-Training, you will assist in the design and/or analysis of transportation engineering projects for our public and private clients. You may also provide support to other functional groups within WSB and be involved with traffic engineering projects throughout our Texas, Minnesota, North Dakota, and Colorado markets.

What You Will Do:

• Assist in preparation of traffic design and construction documents for traffic signal, roadway illumination, ITS, signing and pavement marking. Specific tasks that you may perform include design calculations, cost estimates, and plan preparation.

• Perform traffic engineering and safety analysis and assist in developing technical memorandums.

• Work under the guidance of professional engineers on various traffic engineering projects including traffic impact analysis (TIA), traffic forecasting, traffic signal timing, and microscopic (VISSIM/CORSIM) modeling.

• Collaborate with other groups/ disciplines within the company to deliver top quality projects.

• You may be asked to participate in client meetings and take meeting minutes.

What you will bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited school

• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or the ability to obtain within six months

• Preferred: Master's Degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis on Transportation Engineering

• Preferred: 1-3 years' industry experience

• Excellent communication and technical writing skills

• Experience or working knowledge of design/analysis software packages including Microstation, AutoCAD, Synchro, HCS, VISSIM, CORSIM
