Position Overview:
The role of Facility Engineering is to provide effective engineering, project delivery, and technical support to Austin Water's vertical assets for wastewater infrastructure in order to provide safe, reliable and high-quality service to our customers. This position will be responsible for overseeing contractors and consultants, review plans, establish scope, and to make recommendations using their engineering expertise for a wastewater treatment plant.
This position will be filled at one of the following levels depending upon candidate qualifications:
Graduate Engineer B: $35.04 to $44.67 per hour
Engineer A: $38.97 to $50.67 per hour
Engineer B: $41.70 to $54.21 per hour
Engineer C: $44.62 to $58.01 per hour

Preferred Experience:
Experience in the design, construction, inspection, and startup of public water or wastewater infrastructure
Experience with reviewing engineering design submittals (plans, specifications, and other contract documents) and construction submittals (shop drawings, cut sheets, O&M manuals, etc.) for public infrastructure projects
Experience interacting with internal and external stakeholders and customers
Experience with technical writing and communicating technical information to a wide range of stakeholders including non-technical audiences
Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Demonstrated technical writing, communications and presentation skills.
Ability to travel to multiple work locations
