Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities:

• Work as an entry level civil engineer leveraging your education and experience for transportation-related projects; responsible for the successful completion of project tasks under his/her direction.

• Perform analysis and develop engineering design solutions with manager direction and guidance.

• Work closely with project managers and project engineers to establish and execute production work plans.

• Assist project managers and Transportation Services Manager to provide input to establish contract budgets and scopes of work.

• Assist project team in the analysis, design, and production of plans, specifications, and estimates.

• Ensure proper specifications and standards are being applied on projects.

• Potential for occasional field work.

• Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Civil Engineering graduate with Bachelor's Degree.

• Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (F.E.) exam or ability to within 1 year.

• 0-4 years of transportation design experience.

• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and ability to collaboratively work individually and as a group.

• Detail oriented with competent critical thinking and problem solving skills.

• Strong computer skills with a proficiency in Microsoft Office products and CADD software (AutoCADD and/or MicroStation). Academic experience with Civil3D, ORD, and Inroads a plus.

• Experience with MaineDOT or MassDOT projects is desirable.

• Experience with transit agencies, local agency, and municipality procedures specifications and special provisions is preferred.

Additional Information

TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $53,000 - $83,000 annually for this position and local market.
