This position reports to the Head Diving coach and is responsible for assisting in all phases of a competitive intercollegiate Swimming and Diving program in compliance with NCAA conference, Southeastern Conference (SEC) and institutional rules and regulations.
Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position
Enrolled as a graduate student seeking a master's degree in an academic program offered by the University of Georgia (acceptance received before candidate will be considered). Strong organizational skills and a desire to learn are essential. Experience with college athletics is desired. The ideal candidate will have collegiate and/or high school experience with diving.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
Graduate assistants are expected to be enrolled in at least 5 graduate level credit hours per semester. The candidate is expected to have the ability to effectively recruit and retain quality student-athletes. The ability to effectively communicate through oral, written and electronic forms along with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate student-athletes in a group or individual setting are also important.

While performing the duties of this job; the employee is regularly expected to stand; walk; occasionally lift approximately 20 lbs.
