Graduate Assistant- Track Sprint/Hurdle Coach

Glenville State University is looking for a highly motivated coach or aspiring coach, to serve as graduate assistant for the University's Division II Track and Cross Country program. The candidate will report to the head coach, and serve a 10-month annual appointment. Preference for this position is someone with experience competing or coaching the sprints and hurdle events.

• Meet and travel planning for cross country, indoor, and outdoor seasons

• Heavy emphasis on recruitment for future sprinters and hurdlers

• With approval from head coach, full control over coaching for the sprint and hurdle events

• Assist the head coach in daily practice planning

• Assist the head coach in the execution of necessary administrative detail within the athletic department

• Assist the program in academic success, maintaining a strong relationship with the institution's Student Success Center

• Assist the head coach in fundraising efforts and community relations

• Assist the head coach by leading event group and encouraging their buy in to the whole program 

 "The successful candidate will work with the program's sprint and hurdle events, and possess a background as a sprint or hurdle athlete"

• Registered and enrolled in a graduate degree program at Glenville State's GA program.

• $1000 food stipend in the campus dining hall ($500 per semester).

• $4000 salary stipend ($2000 per semester).

• One graduate class per semester will be paid for- valued at $1434 per semester and $2868 per year.

• Must be registered for at least 9 hours per semester in the MBA program at Glenville State University.
