TITLE: Graduate Assistant to the Director of Athletic Communication
FLSA STATUS: Exempt
TERM: 2 Years
DEPARTMENT: Athletics
REPORTS TO: Director of Athletic Communications
Primary Purpose/Position Summary:
The graduate position reports to the Director of Athletic Communications. Graduate Assistant to the Director of Athletic Communication is sensitive to the needs of a diverse student body and is committed to assisting the Department of Athletics in enhancing and supporting the student development experience consistent with the mission of a Sinsinawa Dominican Catholic liberal arts university.

Job Components/Principle Duties And Responsibilities:
The Graduate Assistant to the Director of Athletic Communications is responsible for but not limited to:
Adhering to conference, NCAA, Title IX, Department of Athletics and university rules and regulations;
Assisting with oversight of athletics events including coordination of NCAA national tournament bids and live coverage for all home athletic events
Assist with the oversight of all athletics marketing and branding; Assisting with managing all aspects of the department of athletics website www.dustars.com
Assisting with coordination of all video tape exchange process for all home contest in accordance to conference guidelines;
Assisting with maintaining inventory of the department of athletics electronic equipment and record books;
Assisting with department of athletics special events, including homecoming, athletics awards ceremony, and hall of fame;
Accepting and fulfilling other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Bachelor's degree required
Must be enrolled at Dominican University as a degree-seeking student in a graduate program
Strong leadership and collaborative abilities
Ability to multi-task effectively and strong attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication skills Competence with computer skills
Ability to work evenings and weekends
A background screening is required upon hire.
