The Graduate Assistant will support the work of the Department of Athletics by providing student-centered services that foster the growth and development of ENC students in a manner consistent with the College's Mission, Vision, and Defining Values. The GA provides primary support to the Baseball Coach and Program. Position is 25 hours per week.

Graduate Assistant compensation/benefits include Graduate Tuition, Campus Housing, Meal Plan (or Meal Stipend), and Coaching stipend.

Graduate assistants must be enrolled full-time in an Eastern Nazarene College graduate program.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide assistance with on-field coaching during practices and contests.

• Prepare and plan practice sessions and game plans with the head coach.

• Coordinate with the head coach on recruitment of qualified student-athletes that will contribute to the college and to the baseball program.

• Assist with fundraising activities as requested.

• Monitor student-athlete academic success in collaboration with CSE and Athletic Department programs.

• Mentoring of student-athletes in spiritual and personal growth.

• Other administrative duties include travel arrangements, scheduling of contests, and equipment management.

• Other duties as assigned by the head coach.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborates with other departments and the broader campus community to facilitate a seamless educational experience and foster holistic student development.

• Attend team and Department of Athletics meetings when not in conflict with academic requirements.

• Other administrative duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.

• The position requires a driver's license valid in the United States. It is necessary to drive school-owned vehicles.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• A bachelor's degree is required.

• Experience as an intercollegiate baseball player and/or coach is preferred.

• Must have an established record of excellent mentoring relationships with students, collegial relationships with staff and faculty.

• Excellent event management skills and strong organizational and administrative skills are also necessary.

• A driver's license is required for use of college vehicles and for recruiting activities.

• Graduate assistants must be enrolled full-time in an Eastern Nazarene College graduate program.

• A strong and vibrant Christian faith that connects to the mission, vision, and values of the college is required.

Our lifestyle guidelines reflect the mission of Eastern Nazarene College and Manual of the Church of the Nazarene, including the Agreed Statement of Belief, The Covenant of Christian Character and The Covenant of Christian Conduct.
