Job Summary

The graduate assistant will assist the MPH program coordinator, administrative staff and program faculty with all aspects of the program. The graduate assistantship position is 19 hours per week, and it includes a tuition waiver.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the coordinator with administrative and marketing tasks related to the program.

  • Work to redesign the MPH Social Media Platforms like Facebook, Instagram, etc...

  • Assist the coordinator with MPH meetings & events scheduling and preparation.

  • Assist program faculty with teaching & research tasks as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Enrolled as a full-time student in te MPH program

  • Earned a GPA of 3.0 or above

  • Good knowledge and skills in Microsoft Office

  • Good knowledge and skills in research

  • Good creativity skills

  • Social Media competent

  • Very good written, communication and interpersonal skills

Proposed Salary

Salary is commensurate with education and experience.

Conditions of Employment

  • A credit check completed for Positions of Trust and or approved departmental Purchase Card usage;

  • Pre-employment drug testing for positions with high-risk responsibilities.

  • Motor vehicle reports are required for positions that are required to drive a Columbus State University fleet vehicle or other vehicle designated as a fleet vehicle. A successful drug screening will be required as a condition of employment a randomly thereafter.

  • Applicants for positions of trust may be asked to disclose criminal record history during the initial screening process and prior to a conditional offer of employment.

For Faculty Hires: Final candidates will be required to provide proof of completed academic degree(s) as well as post-secondary coursework in the form of original transcript(s). Those candidates trained by a foreign institution will also be required to provide an educational/credential evaluation.
