Position Title: Graduate Assistant - Marketing & Community Relations

Reporting Supervisor: Director of Marketing & Web Strategy

Essential Functions:

  • Girls on the Run: responsible for, but not inclusive of liaising with the GOTR regional organization, New Haven Public Schools, Campus partners/departments, media relations, and others.

  • Administrative support: the ability to assist in the daily office functions, including phone calls, filing, supply ordering, asset management, and others.

  • Project management: the GA will have the opportunity to work with the Division's professional staff to bring projects from ideation to completion, including measurement and reporting.

  • Event coverage: will assist in covering events for the department as assigned.

  • Writing: will assist with writing/editing/proofing as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Strong written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Professional, good judgment, willing to take initiative.

  • Adaptable to working with a team and independently.

  • Ability to prioritize.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree required

  • Acceptance to a graduate program at Albertus Magnus College full-time

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • If selected, proof of completion of the Google Project Management certificate will be available through the Albertus Career eXcelerator prior to the start date.

  • Google Suite

  • Strong judgment with the ability to maintain confidentiality as needed.

  • Literacy/fluency in Spanish is preferred.

  • Photography, graphic design, video editing, Canva, preferred.

Work Schedule Requirements:

The schedule is to be determined by the selected candidate. Includes weekday, evening, and weekend work.
