Graduate Assistant- Marketing & Communications

The Glenville State University Office of Student Life is seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as a marketing and communications graduate assistant to create content and marketing for the division, its services, and units. The candidate will report to the Director of Student Life and serve a 10-month annual appointment.

• Create digital and print content for the Office of Student Life and its units.

• Manage social media for the Office of Student Life.

• Follow the University's style guide and support the overall brand identity.

• Communicate with prospective and current students to answer questions and share information about the department, its units, orientation, and upcoming events.

• Adhere to deadlines.

• Assist when necessary with campus clubs and organizations, student activities, and other student services.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Registered and enrolled full time in one of Glenville State's graduate programs.

• An undergraduate degree from an accredited institution.

• Strong computer and digital proficiency with knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and design platforms.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Photography/videography experience.

• Attention to detail, ability to problem-solve, and critical thinking skills.

Basic Position Benefits

• University housing in Pickens Hall.

• $4,000 annual living stipend ($2,000 per semester).

• $1,000 campus meal voucher through Aramark ($500 per semester).

• Annual stipend for two graduate courses (one class per semester - valued at $1,434 per semester and $2,868 per year).

• The workload for these benefits will require 20-hours per week through their immediate supervisor.
