Augustana University is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as Graduate Assistant Intramural Coordinator. The graduate assistant intramural coordinator has responsibility for assisting the Director of Recreational Services in managing the recreational opportunities for the entire campus and in managing the recreational facility. Primary responsibility is coordinating the Intramural program, and contributing strong leadership in area of staff training and development for the intramural program.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the planning, organization, and execution of intramural sports programs and events.
Coordinate scheduling, facilities, and equipment for various intramural activities.
Recruit, train, and supervise student officials and volunteers.
Promote participation in intramural sports through marketing initiatives and outreach efforts.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and university policies during intramural events.
Maintain accurate records, including participant registrations and game results.
Collaborate with campus partners to enhance the overall intramural experience for students.
Assist in the evaluation and improvement of intramural programs based on participant feedback.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Recreation, Health, Physical Education, Outdoor Recreation, or related field.
Certification in American Red Cross 1st Aid, CPR, AED.
Computer skills required for word processor, spread sheets, and data bases.
Must have a strong commitment to working with students within the context of a private, church-related university environment.
Experience with Intramural program management, officiating experience, sport scheduling experience preferred.
Experience developing and maintaining web pages preferred.
