Job Title: Graduate Assistant Human Resources
Department: Human Resources
Reports To: Director of Human Resources
Job Type: This is a part time, exempt position.
General Description:
This position is responsible for basic office functions to include filing, copying, assembling materials, assisting with processing paperwork, shredding papers and assisting with other various duties as designated by the supervisor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with filing student, employee, and adjunct faculty information.
Make single and double-sided copies.
Catalog and maintain personnel archival files.
Shred papers.
Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Ability to use a computer.
Experience using Excel and Word are helpful.
Attention to detail and computer accuracy is a must.
Ability to operate standard office equipment such as copier, fax, scanner and paper shredder.
Ability to handle confidential information regarding personnel and operations with integrity.
Ability to read, write and speak English fluently and effectively.
Ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism and a superior level of confidentiality.
Effective mobility skills required to move about freely and quickly in office and on campus.
Reliability is a must.
Typical Physical Demands:
Ability to climb flights of stairs.
Ability to lift, push or pull up to 20 pounds.
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday 20-25 hours per week.
