Overview Join the HJF Team! HJF is seeking a Doctoral Student Graduate Assistant to be responsible for research and/or development in collaboration with others.

Provides scientific expertise and technical support to senior technical and professional staff. Meets regularly with thesis advisor to discuss research and related assignments, which may include attending meetings, conducting literature searches, designing experiments and conducting independent research, generating and analyzing data, drafting, editing and reviewing manuscripts and other reports, and providing teaching assistance. This position will be in support of the Infectious Diseases Clinical Research Program (IDCRP). The incumbent will serve as an Associate Investigator for protocols including IDCRP-078 Evaluation of HIV-associated Neurocognitive Disorders (HAND) Among Military HIV-infected Subjects (ALLHANDS DoD) and work with HIV/STI Research Area staff at the Program Coordination Center to accomplish study tasks and analyses.

HJF's support and administrative capabilities allow military medical researchers and clinicians to maintain their scientific focus and accomplish their research goals. Responsibilities Responsibilities Performs clinical research projects, including collection and organization of data.

Conducts data analysis and interpretation. Maintains clear and accurate records and documentation. Assists with the preparation of technical reports, summaries, protocols, manuscripts.

Performs data entry for research projects and maintains databases. Maintains compliance with established clinical research procedures. Completes all required training on time.

May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor. This may include attendance of and participation in required training for role. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Doctoral student who has passed written qualification exam Background in neuroscience or related field Knowledge of clinical research methods.

Ability to follow general instructions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Good analytical skills. Ability to meet deadlines Ability to work with individuals at all levels Physical Capabilities Lifting:

Requires lifting materials up to 10 lbs. Ability to stand or sit at a computer for prolonged periods. Qualifications Work Environment This position will take place primarily in a laboratory or office hospital setting.

Education and Experience Bachelor's degree. Minimum of 0-2 years experience required. All HJF employees are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
