Graduate Assistant for Esports
Description
The Graduate Assistant for Esports directs all aspects of the Esports program, including operations and recruitment.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the planning, development, and implementation of all activities related to the Esports program. These areas include but are not limited to planning and supervising of practices, games/matches, management of budgets, control of equipment and supplies, recruiting potential student-athletes, scouting opponents, and organization and implementation of program development activities.
Abide by league rules and regulations.
Assist with the monitoring of the academic progress of student-athletes.
Recruit an appropriate number of competent student-athletes to field teams meeting and exceeding competition minimum standards.
Oversee all game/match coaching and practice sessions and maintain the Esports arena.
Conduct team try-outs, plan, and schedule regular practice sessions, where applicable.
Evaluate team and individual performances.
Provide input on scheduling and monitor team budgets.
Maintain accurate uniform and equipment inventories, project future supply needs.
Review and confirm team statistics and assist with conference pre/post-season award process.
Lead camps and promotional activities.
Assist with social media platforms and discord channel.
Requirements:
Flexibility: Ability to work evenings and weekends; Able to work under deadlines and pressure.
Ability to pay close attention to detail.
Strong general understanding of Esport games and statistical tracking for all team and individual games.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to multi-task.
Should have working knowledge of league compliance regulations, social media etiquette
