Description
Position Summary
The Graduate Assistant will serve as an e-learning assistant and student support specialist.
This position will be 20 hours per week and the hours will be mutually agreed upon based on the student's availability. Typically, the office hours will be scheduled sometime during Mon. through Thur. between 8:00am and 5:00pm and Friday between 8:00am and 2:00pm.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Act as a student success manager, working with enrolled online/degree completion students to support and enhance their success and reduce attrition rates
Assist with the reviews and evaluations of online course development projects
Assist in the formatting of content and the revisions of errors within the learning management system
Assist instructional designers by completing supporting tasks related to online course development projects.
Monitor the enrollment and progress of instructors completing the BOOST training (Basics of Online Success Training).
Analyze data and report findings to the E-Learning team.
Assist with creating files, spreadsheets, and maintaining documentation related to the instructional design process.
Complete other duties as assigned or required.

Required Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
Must understand and support the Mission, Vision and Code of Ethical Conduct of Walsh University, as a Catholic higher education university as expressed in Ex Corde Ecclesiae, and possess the following:
Education: Bachelor's Degree and currently enrolled as a full time student in a master's or doctorate program at Walsh University.
Skills and abilities: Professional demeanor and ability to interact with charity towards students, staff, and faculty. Strong organizational and time management skills. Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-based environment. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Advanced computer skills preferred.
