The Center for Campus Life seeks three graduate assistant positions to assist with creating and implementing educational, social and recreational programming for students of MCPHS Boston. The three positions are:
Graduate Assistant Position #1-Orientation and Student Government
Graduate Assistant Position #2-Student Organizations and Leadership
Graduate Assistant Position #3- Programming & Traditions
Graduate Assistant Position #1-Orientation and Student Government
Student Supervision & Training
Assist with budget, event approvals, training development, selection and promotion for two student leadership positions, Team leaders/Orientation Leaders (OLs), and Student Government Association (SGA).
Attend weekly executive board meetings with SGA executive board (all year) and Team Leaders (spring to summer) to advise them with the planning, implementation, and evaluation of programming efforts
Student Government Association
Attend weekly SGA e-board meetings
Advise the SGA Senate with bill creation and implementation
Attend bi-weekly SGA Senate meetings
Attend weekly meetings with President and Vice-President
Assist SGA treasurers with the Conference Approval and Reimbursement process as well as balancing the budget with purchases
Assisting the SGA event coordinators with planning events with content, reserving spaces, purchases and marketing
Large scale programs such as SGA General Assembly and Cardinal Town Hall
Orientation
Assist the Director and Assistant Director of Campus Life with researching, planning and implementing the Boston Orientation program for undergraduates, transfers, graduates and families/guest for Fall and Spring
Attending weekly e-board meetings in Spring with team leaders
Coordinate Orientation presentations with campus partners
Sit on the Orientation committee with staff from Boston/Worcester/Manchester to coordinate online orientation called Connect
Graduate Assistant Position #2-Student Organizations and Leadership
Student Supervision & Training
Assist with budget, event approvals, training development, selection and promotion for one student leadership position, Assembly of Clubs and Professional Organizations (ACPO).
Attend weekly executive board meetings with ACPO executive board (all year) to advise them with the planning, implementation, and evaluation of programming efforts

Assist over 80 clubs and professional organizations with approving events, booking space, making purchases, and more
Attend month all CPO meetings
Attend weekly meetings with President and Vice-President
Large Scale Programs
Graduate Assistant Position #3- Programming & Traditions
Student Supervision & Training
Assist with budget, event approvals, training development, selection, and promotion for one student leadership position, Cardinals Activities Board (CAB).
Attend weekly executive board meetings with the CAB executive board to advise them on the planning, implementation, and evaluation of programming efforts
Cardinals Activities Board (CAB)
Attending weekly meetings with Co-Presidents
Assist with purchases and reserving spaces
Work to advise CAB on over 10 events per semester
Attend the National Association for Campus Activities regional conference
Advise in the planning of CAB's large-scale traditional programs such as Cardinal Days, Taste of Cultures, Harvest Ball, and Clam BQ.
DEI initiatives for all programs including education and advocacy efforts
Large Scale Programs
Assist with the planning and implementation of Family Weekend and Orientation
Manage the Cardinals Across the World Diversity wall
All Graduate Assistants Responsibilities
Major Programs
Work Campus Life large-scale programming including, but not limited to, Campus Life Fair, ClamBQ, Graduating Class Celebrations, Orientation, Family Weekend, Harvest Ball, Late Night Breakfast, and Leadership Awards Banquet.
Work campus-wide programming including, but not limited to College of the Fenway events, Open Houses, Accepted Student Days, and Commencement.
Student Leadership
In collaboration with your supervisor, assist with the recruiting, interviewing, and hiring process for your student leadership organization
Design/implement training for the current and future student leaders in your organizations
Administrative
Required to attend weekly CCL professional staff meetings
Assist with the student involvement platform called the Cardinal Pride Portal and help with the management of the Center for Campus Life organization page
Work with event software such as Campus Groups, UniversityTickets, Scala, and ASTRA
Assists with departmental operations, including but not limited to room reservations, work orders, catering, reimbursements, billing, etc.
Collaborate with CCL on marketing efforts with social media, flyer creation, and program campaigns
Assists with departmental assessment and planning initiatives
Participate in professional development workshops provided by the Division of Student Affairs and the Center for Campus Life
Opportunities to participate in campus-wide and COF-wide committees to help educate and train students in collaboration with campus partners
Is available, visible, and approachable to students within the college community and attends community functions
Other duties as assigned by the CCL professional staff
Contributes to sustaining and enhancing an inclusive working and learning environment
