SCOPE OF DUTIES:

  • Collaborate with internal administrative and academic departments in efforts to recruit and enroll prospective students.

  • Develop and coordinate in-person and virtual recruiting events each year to yield and onboard new graduate students.

  • Serves as the primary point of contact for new students.

  • Coordinate and support student engagement initiatives through event registration, student lifecycle tracking, and other recruitment functions as required.

  • Create, maintain, and deliver communication outreach and content utilizing multimedia techniques for various stages of the student lifecycle.

  • Learn and actively utilize the appropriate campus CRM and provide collaboration and support to achieve and sustain 100% automated communication for enrollment management.

  • Conduct ongoing outreach efforts to convert leads to applications through telephone, personal appointments, on and off campus recruitment activities, and social media.

  • Counsel applicants on admissions policies and procedures while providing a solution-oriented approach.

  • Collaborate with various departments and staff to create an integrated and holistic yield, onboarding, and student engagement experience.

  • Maintain admission files and make recommendations for improved approaches to maintenance of files.

  • Provide support and assistance to both applicants and staff throughout the application process for all CU graduate programs.

  • Maintain an accurate record of all correspondence with prospective students and applicants.

  • Represent and assist in the coordination of graduate recruitment events for on and off campus events including information receptions, recruitment fairs, and professional conferences requiring some evening and weekend events.

  • Utilize database systems to successfully manage prospect pool.

  • Conduct market analysis and identify target recruitment areas that demonstrate high potential student yield.

  • Perform other duties in support of the institution's mission, goals and objectives as assigned.

  • The Graduate Admissions Counselor conducts recruitment travel on an extensive basis, including some overnight and weekends. Assigned travel can and may shift as the market demands. Extensive travel is anticipated between early September to mid-November and mid-January to mid-April.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal communication (written, oral), outreach and public relations.

  • Adjust to flexible work schedule (evenings and weekend hours as required).

  • Maintain professional appearance.

  • Maintain high level of integrity and ethics in representing Campbellsville University.

  • Proficient computer skills in using Word, Excel and internet.

  • Ability to work effectively with integrated databases.

  • Capability to work within a fast paced and dynamic environment.

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize workload and effectively manage time.

  • Capable of multi-tasking with excellent organizational skills and an ability to manage details.

  • Ability to modify job functions as required by supervisor(s).

  • Available for overnight travel during peak recruitment periods; requiring weekend and evening hours.

GENERAL EMPLOYEE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Working hours necessary to perform job requirements satisfactorily on a regular basis including evenings and as needed.

  • Managing absences from work in responsible manner to ensure service to university faculty, staff, and students.

  • Maintain regular in-person office schedule to perform key duties.

  • Complying with Campbellsville University policies and practices and seeking clarification of them when necessary.

  • Honor the mission of Campbellsville University and abide by rules and regulations and Standards of Conduct outlined in the Administrative Policies and Procedures Manual.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's degree required.

  • Ability to meet all job requirements and perform essential functions in an efficient, effective, and timely manner.

  • Professional demeanor and attire.

  • Excellent public speaking skills and the ability to listen carefully and resolve problems.

  • High level of integrity and ethics.

  • Critical thinking skills to respond to organizational requirements.

  • High degree of creativity, leadership acumen, and ability to work independently, efficiently, and effectively as a team member.

  • Ability to modify job functions as required.
