General Summary: supports the admission and recruitment processes of Agnes Scott College's graduate programs within the guidelines of federal, state and local laws and office, division and college policies and procedures. This position handles all recruitment activities for assigned degree programs encompassing yearly planning, admission application reading and management, working with prospective students, collaborating with staff, faculty and external partners, and building relationships with potential partners. This position also supports marketing, communications and events related to graduate enrollment.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Supports the Director of Graduate Admission to develop and implement strategies to optimize yield and achieve graduate enrollment goals from admission through enrollment and matriculation, with attention to enrolling a highly diverse student population.

  • Supports third-party agency partnership with recruitment outreach through application completion.

  • Provides advising and support through the admissions process for prospective students including information gathering, accurate record maintenance, the application process, and all ongoing outreach and engagement. Interprets college and admission policies and practices to prospective students and other stakeholders.

  • Plans and executes on-campus, off-campus and virtual recruitment and yield events, including information sessions, visits to universities, recruitment fairs and conferences to support recruitment and raise visibility.

  • Reads all applications and manages pre-requisite and application requirements for assigned academic programs.

  • Collaborates with graduate enrollment staff to ensure effective and timely recruitment campaigns and enrollment processes.

  • Supervises graduate student assistants and/or undergraduate assistants as needed.

  • Supports Associate Director of Marketing and Communication with social media campaigns and design materials

REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor's degree in related occupational field of study.

Experience: A Minimum of 3 years professional experience in an office or sales environment. Experience in admissions or higher education is preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Other:

  • Considerable knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software (MS Word, Excel) and electronic mail. Ability and interest in learning new software.

  • Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) systems (Slate preferred).

  • Proficiency in public speaking.

  • Ability to effectively communicate with diverse audiences. Ability to communicate enthusiastically on the phone, online, in email, and in-person about graduate programs.

  • Good judgment and the ability to work collegially in a deadline-driven environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and to maintain confidentiality.

  • Desire to support a diverse and inclusive campus environment.

  • Travel required from the office to other locations on a regular basis.

  • Valid driver's license, good driving record, and reliable transportation.

  • Irregular, weekend and evening hours are required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Intermittent sitting, standing, stooping, crouching, walking, and occasional moving of light objects. Work is performed in an office with occasional travel.
