LEVEL: Classification IV- 12 Months

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Experience or Training

Bachelors of Science (B.S.) in Accounting or Business required; training in bookkeeping and/or accounting preferred; functional knowledge in operating personal computers (PC's) utilizing Microsoft Word and Excel software packages; understanding of basic accounting procedures and entries (manual and computerized); sound foundation in grammar, spelling and writing, understanding of purchasing and accounts payable procedures; experience processing, recording and reconciling cash transactions.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Process student activity requisitions, invoices, and purchase orders as needed.

• Maintain District fixed-asset inventory system.

• Receive and deposit monies.

• Prepare Federal and State Reports on a monthly and annual basis.

• Prepare monthly vending sales report.

• Maintain athletic ticket inventories and cash boxes.

• Assist students, faculty, parents and administrators as needed.

• Responsible for coordinating cash transactions during school registration.

• Supervise the collection of fees and obligations during the year.

• Supervise Business Office Clerk.

• Assist with the preparation of the District annual budget.

• Process student withdrawals (i.e. fee and obligation refunds)

• Other duties as assigned by the Director of Accounting.
