Grade 2 Teacher

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
? Implement curricula and activities to meet academic standards;
? Design and implement assessments that measure progress towards academic
standards;
? Use assessment data to refine curriculum and inform instructional practices;
? Participate in collaborative curriculum development, grade-level activities, and school-
wide functions;
? Be accountable for students' mastery of academic standards; and
? Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues
QUALIFICATIONS
? Bachelor's degree
? Possession of MA teaching license, including SEI endorsement
? Knowledge of current teaching methods; educational pedagogy, as well as
differentiated instruction based upon student learning styles
? Ability to think critically, problem-solve, backwards plan, analyze; use data and
prioritize the needs of the student
? Teaching experience with a proven track record of producing dramatic achievement
gains is ideal
? Unwavering belief that all students can achieve at high levels and strong commitment
to
our students
? Belief in a structured school environment that promotes a positive culture of
achievement
