We are seeking a passionate Educator, who enjoys teaching in a student centered, learning environment. Our teachers are passionate about assisting their students with making the most progress possible.

Position Objective:
This position is accountable for assuming the responsibility for delivering high quality instructional experience through creativity, resourcefulness and sound judgment consistent with the curriculum frameworks, standards and the rules and regulations of the Freetown-Lakeville Regional School District.

Responsibilities:
PRIMARY LOVE of teaching and learning, believing every child can learn, be collaborative, bring joy and kindness to school each day
Responsible for fulfilling the grade level curriculum frameworks.
Responsible for mentoring students' understanding of the curriculum effectively and adjusting instruction, materials, or assessments, when appropriate.
Responsible for using innovative approaches, and instructional strategies, including the effective use of technologies, to increase student learning and confidence to learn.
Responsible for the promotion of high standards and expectations for student achievement.
Responsible for the promotion of equity and appreciation of diversity to ensure equitable opportunities for student learning, including, implementing specific strategies for students with moderate to severe disabilities.
Responsible for the creation and implementation of differentiated curricula encompassing core content areas and life skills.
Responsible for providing equal educational and employment opportunities to all individuals regardless of race, color, gender, age, religion, gender identity, national origin, marital status, sexual orientation, disability, or homelessness
Performance of other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
1.Massachusetts DESE license in Elementary or Early Childhood Education
2.SEI Endorsement
3.BA Degree

Preferred Qualifications:
1.Social-emotional learning experience
2, Teaching experience at the elementary or intermediate level
3.Demonstrated experience supporting students of various needs
4.Candidates who are licensed in another state will be considered if they qualify for the temporary license from DESE (must possess the equivalent license from another state and must have documented proof of working under that license for at least three complete school years). Candidates will need to apply for and pay for the DESE license as a condition of employment.

REPORTS TO: School Principal

Salary & Terms of Employment: In accordance with the Freetown-Lakeville Regional School District Educators' Association contract. Employment is contingent upon job performance, program needs, and funding.
