Role and Responsibilities

As a GPU HW Program Manager, you will contribute the successful delivery of full line of GPU solutions designed by SARC/ACL. You will join our Samsung Graphics Hardware Program Management team to develop project plans supporting hardware IP development programs, including post-silicon and commercialization programs for Mobile market.

To succeed in this role, you ideally have an understanding of hardware engineering lifecycle and knowledge in GPU, CPU, or DSP product development.

  • You are skilled at multitasking to manage multiple projects at various completion phases simultaneously. You organize and lead cross-functional team meetings to develop project schedules, resource plan, functional team key performance metrics and overall project plans of records.

  • You thrive on identifying and driving the resolution of program issues and conflicts among different engineering groups by using effective communication and influencing skills. You to troubleshoot program issues and help to develop alternative program tasks, schedules, milestones, resource plans, processes etc.

  • You are good at determining risks, developing mitigation strategies, and communicating information on key systems team and/or GPU IP program development to key internal and external stakeholders.

  • You have a fresh mindset that challenges the conventional. You are driven by future-oriented changes and will take an active role in innovating and improving the current program management metrics and processes.

  • You are passionate about driving implementation of best practices in project management to streamline the graphics system teams deliverables.

  • You are an exceptional communicator who carries a leadership presence to develop top-quality presentations that are concise and engaging.

  • You pride yourself on delivering quality work by participating in functional team reviews and coordinate or assure compliance to department checklists and procedures.

  • You are highly organized and trusted with gathering information from engineering teams across the organization in a fast-paced environment. You ensure our teams run on schedule and own documentation with the most updated data. You effectively interact with others using common project management tools (JIRA, Confluence, Wiki, Chat, Email) and excel at providing overall progress reports to drive support at all stages of the product development life cycle.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent, or 4+ years of experience with a Master's Degree, or 2+ years of experience with a PhD

  • 5+ years of experience in a technical program/project management role

  • Hands-on technical expertise preferably in developing hardware platforms with leading CAD vendors

  • Experience with ASIC design, silicon validation and IP development process

  • Familiarity with standard software development methodologies including source control (Git, Perforce, etc.. )

  • Experience with defect tracking systems (JIRA, Bugzilla, etc..)

  • Experience with Waterfall and Agile project management methodologies

  • Experience with project schedule and resource management tools, advanced Excel, power-point

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly preferred

  • Experience in managing global programs/teams across different time zones

  • Effective Communication skills, technical project presentations and teamwork skills

  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly

  • Detail and action oriented, self-starter, leader, delegator and motivator.

Pay Transparency

At Samsung - SARC/ACL, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $144,345 and $257,336. Your actual base pay will depend on variables that may include your education skills, qualifications, experience, and work location.

In addition, regular full-time employees (salaried or hourly) are eligible for MBO bonus compensation, based on company, division, and individual performance.

Additionally, this role might be eligible to participate in long term incentive plan and relocation.
