The Commercial Engine Production team is looking for individuals who are self-motivated and desire to work in an area which provides broad visibility to both production operations throughout P&W and our supply chain as well as to the program office.
The GP7000/NMA deputy Production Chief has dual-program responsibilities. The GP7000/NMA deputy Production Chief is a member of the cross-functional Integrated Program Management Teams (IPMT) and an integral part of the Integrated Program Deployment (IPD) process. This deputy Production Chief is responsible for ensuring all aspects of Manufacturing Production Readiness are assessed and mitigated via support of the industrial and program plans for engine and spare part deliveries. The deputy Production Chief is the Operations point of contact for the GP7000 and NMA Programs, partnering with the Module Centers, Supply Chain and Delivery Assurance teams for resolution of delivery issues and risks.
Responsibilities will include:
Developing and executing delivery plans that align with customer requirements to MRP and managing MRP adjustments through the SIOP process
Supporting development of sunset strategies to keep the fleet flying (GP7000)
Partnering with CIPTs, Module centers, and supply chain to assess industrial risks, and develop mitigation plans to ensure quality and delivery requirements are met
Supporting program office MRO workstop reductions through improvement of spare part deliveries (GP7000)
Leading Module Centers to support program office requirements
Coordinating with IBP, GSC, and Module Centers for initial MRP load and part/module level MRP changes to ensure balanced consideration of Engineering Changes, supplier transitions, or other issues with potential impact on delivery, quality, and inventory, and cost.
Developing part industrial plans that account for capital, labor and manufacturing changes to support development and production requirements
Strategic ownership of capacity and capability of internal and external supply chain for GP7000 & NMA Programs
Developing production cut-over plans by completing right-to-left planning leading to product definition completion on time and at correct quality level
Champions MRL progression and producibility tasks in conjunction with Manufacturing Engineering
Note that the final grade of the position will depend on the experience of the candidate selected.
A minimum of 7+ years of Leadership experience in Operations, Engineering or Program Office preferred
Superior written and oral communication skills
Successful candidate will be detail and results oriented with good problem solving skills, able to meet commitments, and balance to resolve conflicting priorities.
Successful candidate must have demonstrated experience working with executive level management and be a high energy, dynamic individual who strives for continuous improvement.
Previous experience or familiarity with the Class I Engineering Change Process is a plus, but not required.
