Position Summary

The Government Relations Analyst is an integral role at MultiCare, working in support of the executive director to develop and implement on-going policy agenda and strategy. In this position you will advance local and state legislative and regulatory advocacy functions, including research and policy analysis and communications with audiences on priority MHS issues.

Responsibilities

• You will provide support and assist in building, establishing and sustaining productive relationships with local and state elected officials, staff and regulatory agencies for the purpose of increasing MultiCare's awareness of pertinent issues, identifying potential opportunities for strategic participation, and analyzing public policy impacting the organization

• You will provide input into the development and implementation of the systems public policy agenda and help coordinate/execute actions to address these goals

• You will monitor, analyze, and summarize verbally and provide written analysis of regulatory developments on a wide variety of health care issues at the local and state levels

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, political science, or related field required

• Minimum five (5) years of progressive relevant experience working in health care, public health or government relations environment

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $86,944.00 - $125,091.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
