JOB SUMMARY:

This is a Government Analyst II position in the General Tax Administration Program (GTA), Information Security Administration Unit. The incumbent serves as the Lead Security and Compliance Analyst, assisting the GTA Information Security Administrator to balance the workload, spot trends, provide management consulting services, assist with security training and education, and collaborate and communicate with various partners.

The incumbent supports the GTA audit and collection activities by acting as the liaison between programs to protect GTA's information assets from security risks, threats, and vulnerabilities; administers information security for GTA's SUNTAX, Accurint, and DAVID systems, and responds to Federal (IRS), State (Auditor General), and internal audits and reviews by addressing audit findings, implementing controls, developing information policies and procedures, and executing corrective action plans. Additional duties include coordinating system security requirements with the Information Services Program (ISP) and performing information security audits and risk assessments to ensure security compliance and information system integrity.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Four years of IT security or information security technical experience.

• Experience researching and analyzing systems issues or implementing information security plans.

• Experience identifying and assessing security risk, threats, and vulnerabilities to improve general security controls.

SUBSTITUTIONS:

• A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related field can substitute for four years of the required work experience.

PREFERENCES:

• Familiarity with NIST CSF, Rule 60GG-2, F.A.C, Florida Cybersecurity Standards, IRS Publication 1075.

• Knowledge in any kind of IT service management (ITSM) tool.

• Knowledge of the SAP access control or audit log review process.

• Experience writing training guides, job aids, or procedural guides.

SPECIAL NOTES:

• This position is in Tallahassee, Florida and is not eligible for telework.

SALARY: The hiring salary for this position generally will not exceed $5,842.26 monthly/$70,107.12 annually.
