POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is in the Investigative and Forensic Science (IFS) Program Office. This is a full-time position that works closely with subject-matter experts to facilitate procurement of goods and services. This position requires the ability to work both independently and in a group effort to support four different divisions. The position also requires excellent facilitation and customer service skills.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Specific duties include:
Working with the Investigative and Forensic subject matter experts and the Office of General Services on statewide procurements and special projects to include but not limited to: sole source, invitation to bid (ITB), request for proposals (RFP), request for information (RFI), and invitation to negotiate (ITN). Examples of procurements included but are not limited to statewide vehicle orders, specialty vehicles, and crime laboratory instruments;
Coordinating bulk statewide purchases for the IFS program, including the procurement of investigative technical equipment, as well as facilitating purchase of IT related equipment for the IFS Program;
Representing IFS as a Florida Certified Contract Manager. If applicant is not currently certified, they will need to obtain certification for this position;
Serving as the procurement liaison for the FDLE Aviation Program, facilitating payment for repairs and maintenance of FDLE aircraft and needed supplies;
Completing independent and directed special projects; and
Coordinating the development of special projects as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office products, specifically word and excel;
Experience providing excellent customer service (email, phone, and in-person correspondence);
Knowledge of State of Florida's procurement process;
Ability to communicate effectively;
Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a group;
Experience understanding and applying applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures;
Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments;
Excellent organizational skills; and
Ability to determine work priorities and ensure proper completion of work assignments.

Starting salary will be at the minimum of the class pay range, unless otherwise dictated by FDLE's pay policy. The elements of this selection process may include a work sample and/or interview. Future vacancies may be filled from this position advertisement.
