The Government Analyst I (GA I) position's role is to facilitate performance management activities within the Florida Department of Health in Walton County (FDOH-Walton) by routinely gathering data, analyzing data and developing new or improved systems to ensure public health services are delivered effectively and efficiently. This position functions under the supervision and direction of the Government Operations Consultant III SES (Performance Management and Quality Improvement Champion) and works in collaboration with the FDOH-Walton Leadership Team and Performance Management Council. This position adheres to Information Security policies and procedures and is key custodian for assigned areas.
At the direction of the PMQI Champion, reviews programs, processes, and procedures to identify problems and improvements with public health and clinical services. Interviews personnel, conducts on-site observation, and compiles data, analogies and reports to ascertain process, methods, equipment and personnel utilization.
Designs, evaluates, and recommends changes based on needs, efficiencies, cost, and analysis. Provides technical support, consultation and direction for the development, implementation, evaluation and expansion of programs and services. Confers with key management staff to ensure successful functioning of newly implemented systems or procedures.
Reviews, develops, and monitors compliance standards and procedures for clinic operations, provides recommendations for improvements.
Plans and conducts studies of clinic operations, problems, and procedures, gathers and organizes information on problems or procedures. Compiles clinic data, analyzes clinical data gathered, and develops solutions or alternative methods for improvement to clinic operations and processes. Works with the FQHC Grants Manager to insure compliance with HRSA's 19 Grant requirements and UDS reporting standards.
Assists with the planning and preparation of Performance Management Council, Strategic Planning, Quality Improvement, and Community Health Improvement Planning meetings. This includes administrative and data collection support.
Assists with providing support for activities related to the Workforce Development Plan. This includes facilitating trainings and providing technical assistance to ensure a competent workforce.
Leads the Website Content Team to ensure the continuous review and assurance of quality public information regarding services and programs.
Attends relevant meetings and trainings as directed. Serves on various committees, teams, and workgroups to support the organization.
Codes Employee Activity Records accurately. Performs other related duties as requested.
Knowledge, skills and abilities, including utilization of equipment, required for the position:
Collect, manage, and analyze data to produce and compile meaningful reports. Possess strong teaching and presentation skills.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in written format. Ability work with staff to foster and encourage teamwork and high-quality service. Ability to critically think to determine appropriate solutions to problems. Knowledge of quality improvement and performance management processes.
