The Impact You'll Make in this Role

We are looking for a Government Affairs Compliance and Political Contributions Manager to join our Government Affairs team and support our government-facing functions.

As the "officer responsible for filing", the function will oversee the data gathering, reporting, and filing of all lobbying disclosure requirements for Solventum and Political Giving reporting for the organization US Federal, US States, Canada, EMEA, ASIA, GCA, LATAM

The position will ensure that the new health care company complies with the existing & emerging lobbying transparency regulations in various jurisdictions globally.

The management of the new health care company's Political Action Committee will also fall into the responsibility of the position.

As Government Affairs Compliance and Political Contributions Manager you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

Government Engagement Compliance

  • Ensuring all lobbying activities and reporting obligations adhere to relevant laws and regulations.

  • Aggregating, maintaining and submitting accurate and timely lobbying reports in compliance with relevant laws and rules for US Federal, US States, Canada, EMEA, ASIA, GCA, LATAM.

  • Managing outside firms/ consultants to ensure efficient data collection, aggregation and reporting.

  • Monitoring and analyzing new and existing lobbying and transparency laws and regulations.

Management of Political Action Committee for Solventum

  • Day-to-day management of the political action committee of the new health care company in United States.

  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with members of Congress, relevant staff, and professional fundraisers, as necessary, including preparation of solicitation materials, member correspondence, and applicable in-person events.

  • Monitoring and updating the new health care company PAC website as appropriate including US Federal Elections.

  • Accurately preparing and filing monthly FEC and assigned Lobbying Disclosure reports on a timely basis.

  • Establishing proficiency in PAC-related data entry (processing of receipts/disbursements, etc.).

  • Oversight and management of the new health care company's PAC Board.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

  • Seven (7+) years of experience in compliance administration or with Government Affairs consultants/law firms

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Healthcare experience

  • Strong working knowledge of administration of laws, regulations, guidelines, and standards for covering lobbying compliance and lobbying disclosure on all levels of government for the US, with ability to oversee OUS requirements.

  • Experience in managing outside counsel, consultants, and budgets

  • Experience and knowledge of how governments at all levels work or with specialized consultants or law firm in lobby compliance

  • This role requires the ability to effectively build consensus, engage, inspire and influence a wide range of stakeholders

  • A global perspective and the ability to understand the implications of legislative and policy proposals on the global marketplace

Work location:

  • Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to Washington DC at least 3 days per week)

Travel: May include up to 20% domestic

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $183,301 - $224,034, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits (e.g., Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences and Retirement Benefits, etc.).
