We are seeking a Global Technology (GT) Governance, Risk & Compliance Coordinator to assist in advancing our Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) function through data, processes and analysis. The individual in this role will apply proven communication, analytical and problem solving skills, and self-motivation to identify and gather new data identifying risk sources and views, communicate the risk impact and dependencies, and organize the output to reduce the potential risk to GT and the enterprise. Acting as a liaison between the GRC, senior GT leaders and the GT Analytics teams, this position will add value in the areas of governance, project management and risk mitigation. This position requires excellent negotiation skills and the ability to influence leaders across the organization.

What You'll Bring:

  • Experience: 4+ years of professional experience with an IT background involving identity and access management, vulnerabilities management, infrastructure security, data security, physical security, audit or business continuity/disaster recovery. Project management experience highly desired and industry information security certification a plus (CISSP, CISA, CISM or similar).

  • Data and Analysis: Familiarity handling data using industry-standard tools, such as Tableau, and experience in manipulating the data to express actionable recommendations.

  • Risk Framework: General understanding of information security policies and standards, and regulatory/framework compliance (e.g., PCI-DSS, ISO 27001/27002, or NIST SP 800-53)

  • Problem solving: Ability to quickly identify and resolve problems and to gather and analyze information skillfully, getting to the root cause.

  • Interpersonal skills: Must possess strong people skills and professionalism with the ability to maintain good working relationships with colleagues at all levels; must have a strong customer-focused attitude with the ability to listen, understand and respond quickly to customers.

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in IT, Computer Science, Business, or other relevant topics; experience and / or understanding of IT risk preferred.

Impact You'll Make:

  • Create multi-level data analysis and trending and clearly communicating cause/effect relationships; own several sets of data gathering and analyses.

  • Track system enhancement requests, laisse with the application developers, communicate with impacts and schedules of changes to internal users and perform testing as needed.

  • Work under the direction of GRC relationship managers by managing action items specific to GT leaders, pulling necessary data, completing meeting minutes and preparing meeting materials.

  • Assist in the creation and on-going maturity of the GT Governance function by establishing internal partnerships, processes and technical documentation.

  • Research new angles to identify and manage IT risks and aid in connecting them to business or enterprise risks.

  • Perform various levels of root cause analysis and own assembling the recommendations.

The Global Head of Claims Governance & Compliance, General Insurance will report to the Claims Performance organization. This position can be based in any of our major U.S. offices. You will be responsible for developing and executing a Claims Governance and Compliance strategy globally including the implementation of a Global Governance Framework. You will be responsible for managing Claims Compliance activities across General Insurance Claims and acting as the primary liaison between ORM, ERM, IAG, External Auditors, State Regulatory Agencies & Departments of Insurance and the Claims organization. As a Senior Leader, you reach across geographical and functional boundaries to create alliances that further the organization's objectives and market position. Your deep and broad industry knowledge allows you to foresee external conditions that could potentially affect AIG's future. Key responsibilities for this role include: ▪ Drive the execution and lead the team responsible for Claims Governance & Compliance for the Global Claims organization. ▪ Establish strategic guardrails, targets, and governance controls for Claims, implementing effective best practices, to provide maximum value to the business. ▪ In collaboration with the Claims technical leadership, develop and maintain AIG Claims policies, standards, and controls and ensure Claims personnel are have knowledge and receive training around AIG policies, standards, and controls. ▪ Manage and coordinate bi-annual and annual reviews of Global Claims Authorities, Major Loss Issuance Thresholds and all other Claims controls. ▪ Lead compliance efforts ensuring resources are appropriately and efficiently assigned and tasked to monitor regulatory, operational, SOX, and IAD compliance adherence. Identify and implement various means to improve the efficiency of the Operational Risk auditing and oversight processes. ▪ Establish and maintain appropriate means to monitor and accommodate changes in regulatory environment that impact AIG's compliance obligations. Develop and promote various tools and mechanisms that allow field office management to proactively manage compliance efforts. ▪ Promote various feedback mechanisms ensuring senior management, zonal management, and field office management have the necessary information needed to manage and improve regulatory performance. Improve upon current reporting processes to make them more efficient and more actionable. ▪ Monitor existing Primary Claims operational control structure and ensure necessary changes to controls are made based upon audit feedback (self-audits, internal audits, PwC audits). ▪ Provide oversight, direction, and ensure timely and appropriate responses are provided to all regulatory, SOX, and internal audits. ▪ Coordinate with various functions on business improvement programs and key remediation activities. ▪ Drive a risk management culture among contract owners and business partners and partner with appropriate Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Audit stakeholders to maintain adherence to the governance framework. ▪ Foster working relationships with state regulatory bodies and with AIG business groups in furtherance of AIG Compliance efforts. Ensure appropriate support is provided to Legal, Vendor Services, Quality Assurance, and other support groups. ▪ Ensure GI Claims has defined and tested Disaster Recovery plan. Coordinate Disaster Recovery tests with appropriate functional groups (Business Continuity Management). ▪ Support ongoing Claims strategic initiatives through programs that foster an environment of continuous improvement. ▪ Represent Claims in enterprise forums and projects to ensure global operating excellence and enhanced internal collaboration. ▪ Develop tools and strategies, in collaboration with HR, to attract and retain top industry talent and develop high performing teams. ▪ Drive a culture that promotes collaboration, diversity and inclusion.
